This is the cheapesr little racer I have found, and I have done a lot of shopping around.
It is even cheaper than ebay.
Arrived today, and well what a hassle. The instructions were incorrect, some of the holes had not been drilled fully.
It was hard work and I felt like sending it back.
I found that the paint work is easily scratched with the slightest attachment.
It is now fixed together, and my son is enjoying it. It is pretty sturdy. My son is 2.5 yrs and he seems to really like it.
I would say it is indoor only. The bonnet lifts up and it is pretty rubbish. He can only unscrew two parts to the 5 or 6 parts that are shown, the others do not move, just for show.
I do not beleive it is a s good as it could be. I think the makers could have made it a lot better, more of an activity, more to do on the car. I am sure it will not be long, until my son is bored.
Very over priced. I think the manufactures should send more parts already fitted. ie. the little castor wheels, nightmare to fit the holes were not inline!!

Well until my son gets bored.. it will just be another bit of clutter...then probably post it on ebey.

Not as good a product as expected. I would rate 2/10.

This is a great play shop but I feel not worth the money. Assembly was difficult, I had to get my brother in law to help, he's a builder and said its easier to fit a kitchen, took him about 3 hours. Only down side other than price is the shop doors don't close properly, the magnets that are supposed to hold them closed are not strong enough so they constantly flop open. However, my 2 daughters LOVE playing in this shop, have had hours of fun. I also bought the fruit/veg display and the ice cream set, also great fun but not worth the money. Overall I would recommend this but only if you can get a good deal on the price.

I was looking for something similar to a wendy house I used to have when I was little for my daughter, who is 3. I had seen the rose petal cottage and was toying with the idea of buying that when I came across the princess castle. Oh how she loves it! It's like a dream come true for her. Whilst it is indeed ued as a princess castle a lot of the time, it is also a shop, a hospital, a hiding place for quiet reading...you name it. Yes, it is large. We are fortunate enough to hava a family room with an alcove so that it can remain up all the time. One side is smaller thn the other so it can half in size on an evening (when it is also ued to 'store' a lot of the other toys left lying around!).
The castle comes with a lovely banquetting set (note, it does NOT include the stools and tables shown in a couple of the pictures) and a princess dress.
The larger half has an arched door and three turrets, the smaller half has a window and also some very cute tie back curtains. We have placed a blanket down as a rug to make it extra cosy.

All in all, excellent value at the special price we bought it at on amazon just before christmas and miles and miles of play value.

I bought this toy for my daughter who is 5 years old and was asking from Santa to have the "Diamond Castle", from the Barbie moovie. As that one was just a small very high priced toy i was looking for alternatives. When my daughter opened the box and started to realize how big was this one compared to the other one and that she could stay inside and play with her dolls or other toys she was really excited. We have the toy for a week now and she is inside the castle for a great amount of time every day. It is very light so you can momove it easily, very easy to build it and beautifull also. So what else can i say, it is really a very nice toy.

The castle frame is fairly straightforward to erect and the cover easy to fit. It is important to follow the plan as the castle is in two halves and they do vary slightly in size as one half slots inside the other for storage. It does take up rather a lot of room and is not the sort of toy that you would want to undo/erect on a daily basis. The castle is very pretty and cleverly made. The banqueting set and Princess dress are excellant added value items.

The item is not the easiest to build and it is very quick to collapse if it is knocked by the car or a child falling into it. It is not used that much by the kids so have now taken it down. Might be more used with 4+ boys.

This was apresent so I haven't seen the children play with it yet- but have heard the little girl of 3 was delighted and they couldnt keep her out of it. It is apparently very well made and all seemed very impressed with it.

For some reason I was expecting this to be a pop up tent but it has metal bars that you need to piece together.Once its up its very sturdy but then it doesnt come down again. You need to find somewhere to put it in its entirety.
It is not worth the money and the accompanying playsets are disappointing and do not last. A bad buy-its probably going on ebay.

Poor quality. Not sure what use it would be outdoors where it would most likely be used. Cardboard construction, which is not stated in the description. Not very easy to assemble. Altogether not a very desirable item certainly not designed for young children. A fuller description needs to be added as soon as possible. Would have returned it but it was a promised present so will make do until I find one suitable for the purpose.

We got this for our one year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. She loves going in and out, but particularly likes to play in her own little world in there. It is a real delight to peer in at her busily putting a toy or my spectacles into the oven while chattering away to herself.

The wendy house can be split into two, or united as a whole house. It comes with a little oven which is well made and easy to put together. The opening mechanisms on the oven and the house itself work well.

The only concern is that it is quite light and I worry that if our little one fell over against it from inside, it might cause the whole thing to fall over.

There are lovely elements of detail in the design. The printed details on the outside of the house are charming but there are some things that really reflect the attention to detail that went into it - for example it has a working catflap in the front door (which our cat does use).

I cannot recommend this highly enough. It's the best toy we've ever got her.

We bought this for my daughter s 4th birthday. It is a very nice little playhouse, but it would be better if the two sections could be attached to each other, and also there isnt a great deal of head room inside, so if you have a child who is tall, you should bear this in mind when purchasing. Having said that, my daughter loves it!

My 2 year old daughter got this for Christmas. It's very pretty, and it's been designed with a lot of attention to detail ie there's a birdhouse in the roof, the door closes with a magnetic fastener, the windows have curtains. And it's an added bonus that it comes with a cooker.

My daughter has a lot of fun playing in the cottage and it's even more fun with friends. It can comfortably fit four little children (though a bit of a squash for 2 adults and a child).

I is quite large, but as it comes in two parts that can be moved apart if need be.

I would recommend this product. Everyone who see's it comments on how lovely it is.

I bought this house for my little girl who had just turned 2yrs for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!!! It is really easy and quick to assemble and the houses can fit inside each other for better storage if you have limited space. The house also comes in quite a small flat box which is fab for me as hubby is in Armed forces so we move around alot!
I would definitely recommend this beautiful house for all little girls.

It's expensive for what it is - I think you are definitely paying for the 'Rose Petal Cottage' name and you could probably get something with just a good quality and a lot similar from ELC but for half the price!

Absolutely brilliant, my 2 year old niece loves it even though it is for 3 year olds. She had recently learned a new word - 'cake' so when she got the cake in the set it was great! It advises that it is for 3 years plus because of small parts, however we have found on the Boots website it said 2 years - we supervise her with it just in case.

It comes with 2 small toys as well as plates and present boxes and she loves playing with them all the time.
Well made and put together, a really lovely set for a little girl!

I bought this for my four year old having read the reviews for the rose petal cottage. I bought them together and thought she'd love them. Sorry but they're a bit boring really. There's only so much role play you can do with a padded cake and one candle. It held her interest for about 5 minutes and she hasn't played with it since. Suitable for VERY young children but I wouldn't bother for any child 3 years or over.

This is a GREAT toy/present. I got it for my 4 year old daughter as she loves birthday parties and pretend games. It slices apart and is really durable and washable I guess if you need to. Played with for hours already with the tea parties.

Lovely stove but not for an 18mth old - Mrs. T. Utting - Surrey
Originally bought this for my 18month old daughter, not knowing that it was wipe clean only and made from a light board material and not a washable plastic surface. It also didn't look robust enough for my 18month old as she likes to bang things around and it looked like it wouldn't last very long. I returned this item and purchased a chunky plastic verstion which is much more suitable for her age. I'm sure this Dream Town stove would suit an older child with a softer touch as the colours were pretty and it looked very sweet.

I bought this chair for my little 2 year old so she could have her own big girls chair and the colour is perfect and she really likes it as it is inflatable she can move it herself but unfortunately she cant sit on it because it slopes forward and she keeps sliding off - its a shame as it now is just an expensive chair for the teddys to sit on.

I was so upset when this chair arrived on my doorstep. Firstly, because I was stupid enough to not read the description of the chair and thought it was going to be a foam chair. And secondly, as it is useless. The cover is ill fitting, the section where the toddler is supposed to sit on slopes forward and down so my little one slides off it. Have no idea what I am going to do with it now. What a waste of money. My own fault really for not reading the description properly and basing my purchase on the picture.

This is a fun chair for the one hour that it stayed inflated. My daughter sat in it - normal use-no jumping etc. The seam split, so sent for another, which did arrive promptly. This is a gorgeous little house that I fell in love with and couldn't wait to purchase for my daughter who appears to love it as much as me. I very very pleased with it after being a little unsure from reading the other reviews. The instructions were easy to follow and there were not too many components to put it together but I would not want to keep taking it down too often. I think it's something you will put up and leave up for a while. The poles are metal and sturdy but the joiners are plastic and one of them was already snapped out of the box. I stuck it somewhere I hope it won't make much difference whilst I phone customer service for a replacement. It took me the best part of an hour to set it up but was very pleased with the result. It's such a nice size. Not too big to take up too much room and not too small that it can't be played with properly. The detailing is lovely and the quality is really rather good. The fabric is good quality and it feels well made overall. It comes with the cooker which again is also very well made even though it's a mixture of hard laminate and plastic. It's an interesting innovation to make the house fit inside each other but it works and makes the house take up a lot less room than I was expecting. It only loses marks for being so expensive. Absolute worst buy - EVER!! - B. Collins - Ireland
We got this as a Xmas present for our little girls (ages 18months & almost 3) i bought it based on the good reviews it got, however i wasted my time reading them & my money on such a useless gift! the quility is so so poor, they recieved it on Xmas day & already it is broken in three places and ALL the plastic bars are strained despite little playtime. My husband is planning in making something based on the idea - as the idea is great but the quility totally bad!!! i plan to return it the company asap! dont buy this !!

I uumphed and aarghed about buying this last Xmas for my little girl aged 3 but I shouldn't have worried. It is the best toy we have ever bought and she and her brother aged 5 play in it or using it every single day. It role plays as a house, a spy hideout, a school a shop - you name it they play in it. They take on different roles, and my daughter rearranges the house and the contents inside on a regular basis! They both talk about it at school and it is the first thing they show their friends when they visit who all play in it too!

I bought the inflatable chair to go with it which was also good value (although its not always in the cottage!) and the kids fill it with all their other cookers, cots, prams etc.

Their grandmother also finds it a fab toy too and she should know! - she has to sit in there for hours on end - while her grandaughter plays house and makes constant cups of tea and looks after her babies!!

We've found the quality to be 100% although my kids on the whole are generally careful with their possessions. Nothing has ripped or torn and I hoover it out regularly.

I would recommend it wholeheartedly!

We all know how important it is for our children to role play as they turn into toddlers and to let their imagination run wild! This toy stimulates both role play and imaginative play.
It is by far the best toy i have bought for my daughter! We bought it for her 2nd birthday at the beginning of 2008 and from the moment we put it up she played with it all day everyday until about 8 months later when we had to take it down due to redecorating.
Rose Petal Cottage was put back up a few weeks ago now that my daughter is 3! She has fallen in love with it all over again, and so has my son who is 1 years old. We originally bought quite alot of the packs that go with the rose petal cotteg and we have lost a few on the way, the only ones in my opinion you really need is the kitchen set which comprimises of the washing machine and sink. (the cooker comes with the rose petal cottage).
If you want something fun, that you will feel was a very good toy to buy, i would recommend this for any children 2 years upwards (i have a 5 year old neice and 6 year old neice who love playing with it when they are here. I have to also state my daughter has hers pushed together to form the complete house and not opened up (her choice) so you do need quite a bit of room for it! An excellent toy!

The cottage itself is excellent and was an instant success with both a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old who play with it constantly and develop their own games with it. However, the packaging in which it was delivered was slightly damaged and as a result the product itself was scuffed slightly, although insufficiently to return the product - the reaction of the girls would have prevented this anyway! The Amazon procedure for dealing with this type of issue is inadequate with a very limited comment facility which fails to engage the user in a dialog and which does not allow the submission of photographic evidence.

If buying the rose petal cottage i would definately buy this set to go with the cooker you would have received with it too.
My perrsonal opinion (from my daughter playing with hers for over a year) these are really the only other accessories you will need, although like previous post stated it would have been nice to be able to buy the muffin set seperately as these would make a great addition!
The sink and washing machine are very sturdy and easy enough to clean, and provide hours of fun.
I would have given 5 stars if it wasnt for the high price.

Having just purchased the Rose petal Cottage washing machine for my daughter I have to say Iam utterly disgusted with this product my daughter loves loading our washing machine at home and she was thrilled to find she had got one of her own joy very quickly turned to huge tears when as soon as she opended the door it fell off having taken 15 mins to calm her down I am now the one who is VERY VERY upset.

Oh and their website does not work either
